Modifying/Moving Multiple Entities

Available in: FREE, Plus, Pro, Architectural

Multiple entities can be modified and/or moved simultaneously in Draft it. See Select Items for help on how to select multiple entities.

Once you have selected the entities required the entity handles are displayed and the editing choices are either to Delete, modify the common properties using the Properties Explorer or the Ribbon,  or to move one or all of the entity handles.  Move the cursor over any of the handles and its colour changes to yellow then simply click to select.

Because of the different handle sizes you can see when a major and minor handle are located in the same position (coincident). When such a 'double' handle is selected both of the descriptions below apply.

If a Minor (blue) handle is selected then only entities attached to that handle will be modified. As you move the cursor the entities attached to the handle will be stretched/redefined dynamically allowing you to see the effect of the modification before clicking into place using any of the snaps and input options.

If a Major (red) handle is selected then all** of the selection set is attached to the cursor allowing it to be moved to a new position and clicked into place using any of the snaps and input options. If the control 'keyboard' key is held whilst moving the handle to a new position the selection is copied.

** Not in the case of a double handle, items connected to the minor handle will be stretched/redefined.
