Parametrics Explained

A parametric symbol contains key dimensions (parameters) which control the proportional shape. This is more than simple rescaling, a shape can be of any complexity can be defined and even control over the relationships between paramteters can allow shapes to be resized within proportional limits.

Parametric symbols are ideal for items such as Doors, Windows, Staircases etc. because the basic geometry of the shape remains constant but the proportional relationships differ for individual circumstances.
